Advantages of XPS Boards

Excellent thermal insulation:

XPS boards provide excellent insulation characteristics, which help reduce heat loss and minimize heating costs; all the heat is directed into the room rather than into the deeper layers of the floor.

Moisture resistance:

Thanks to its structural properties, XPS is water-resistant, making it ideal for use in areas prone to moisture, such as foundations and basements.

Lightweight:

XPS underfloor heating system boards are lightweight, which makes them easy to handle and install, while also reducing the load on the structure.

Durability:

The material is resistant to weather and chemical exposure, which contributes to its longevity.

Ease of handling:

System boards can be easily cut and shaped, which allows them to be tailored to the specific needs of a project.

High energy efficiency:

The use of XPS system boards in construction leads to greater energy efficiency of buildings.

Underfloor heating system boards (dry system)

Underfloor heating, as an alternative to traditional heating, offers significantly lower costs, comfort year-round, and enhanced room aesthetics.

The entire room heats up quickly, and the heat is distributed evenly—our underfloor heating panels are manufactured with the utmost care.

Frequently asked questions about BEFIRO system boards

How does a dry underfloor heating system differ from a wet underfloor heating system?

In a dry system, the heating system components (pipes) are installed in special grooves, eliminating the need to pour a concrete screed for the heating system. In contrast, in a wet system, the pipes are installed within the concrete screed.

This feature makes the dry system ideal for attics, wooden ceilings, wood-frame houses, and renovations where the lightweight nature of the heating system is crucial.

We recommend boards with a thickness of 20, 25, and 30 mm, depending on properties of the supporting structure and height limitation of total flooring layer.

Standard-range panels are usually delivered within one working week depending on complexity of the order.
